Great advice. I've just booked a great honeymoon package to a small boutique hotel in Malaysia and the owner's have already been in touch to see if we had any special requests!

Me and my wife went to safari in Botswana, it's not a place particularly well known for honeymoon but we had an unforgettable time- looking for somewhere a little off the map is definitely worth it.

Great idea, I think the main factor that puts people off when doing this for their honeymoon is the potential risk of the place not being what they expected and spoiling what is ultimately the most important holiday of your life. That said with a few tips from people in the know, I completely agree that you can find some real gems off the beaten track which can make your honeymoon even more special.

Great advice for those considering an off the beaten path honeymoon! I totally agree that service is not always as good as expected in major resorts as there are more guests to deal with where as if you choose a smaller resort the staff are more likely to have more time for you and work harder to meet your every need.

There’s proper etiquette when it comes to paying for the wedding, inviting guests, sending thank you cards and making seating arrangements. There’s also etiquette to be followed when hosting a shower or walking down the aisle. Lest you think etiquette is something only the bride, groom and their immediate families need to concern themselves with, you should also know there’s etiquette to be taken into consideration when giving a wedding gift.
