When you register with us, you have two options for how you will receive your registry funds. You can choose to receive your gift funds in the form of a Visaｮ Prepaid Card, which may be used everywhere Visa Debit is accepted, worldwide, or you can choose to receive a check instead.
Smart Honeymoon will send you your Visaｮ Prepaid Card as soon as your registry gift purchases total at least $300. We will then reload your card with the sum of all gifts purchased from your registry during the week before your wedding, or on another day of your choosing. If any last minute or late gifts are purchased from your Smart Honeymoon registry, we will reload those gifts on your card after your wedding.
If your Smart Honeymoon registry total is less than $300, or if you choose to receive a check instead of the Visaｮ Prepaid Card, then we will issue you a check for your registry total a few days after your wedding to account for last minute and late gifts. We can issue this check earlier; just let us know. If there are gifts after this check has been issued, then we will send an additional check a few weeks after your wedding.
The Smart Honeymoon card has free purchase transactions in the US and abroad, free automated phone and web balance inquiries, no monthly fee, low ATM fee ($1.50 in the U.S.) and Smart Honeymoon's unlimited ability to load your card for the life of the card in case you have late gifts.
